Charity of the year

Wilkinson Construction Consultants are pleased to announce that our chosen charity for 2012/13 is the Homeless FA.

The Homeless FA is an initiative that uses football as a means of improving the lives of homeless people in England. Together we believe that every person has the potential to change their lives positively and that football can facilitate such a transformation.

The Homeless FA use football to give every person experiencing homelessness in England the opportunity to develop their skills and abilities, to gain self-respect and confidence, to improve their health, and ultimately to transform their life. Central to their work is the promotion of a positive self-perception for the players while challenging and changing the public perception of homeless people. They encourage the homelessness sector to utilise the power of football, and demonstrate to the sporting world the potential of football to support the most vulnerable members of society.
